The Second Chapter Reading Program
The Second Chapter Reading Program is a charitable, community-focused initiative by The Book Nook designed to keep children’s books circulating, accessible, and in the hands of young readers who need them most.
Through gently loved book donations and community support, we provide thoughtfully curated children’s book bundles for families, classrooms, and local reading initiatives - helping foster early literacy, imagination, and a lifelong love of reading.
Gently Loved Book Donations
We happily accept gently loved children’s books that are clean, complete, and in good condition. Donated books are used for curated reading bundles, classroom support, and our Community Reading Program.

Monetary donations help keep The Book Nook and The Second Chapter Reading Program running and growing. Contributions are used to support essential operating needs, including:

The Book Nook is a small, community-centered program. At this time, donations are not tax-deductible, but every contribution directly supports children and reading.
